I was born in Puerto Rico and raised between Philadelphia and the island, where I spent most of my formative and academic years. I earned both my  bachelor’s degree in Teaching English and her master’s degree in Teaching English as a Second Language from Ana G. Méndez University in Puerto Rico. Driven by a passion for leadership in education, I later obtained her principal certification through Region 11’s GO program and I am currently pursuing a doctoral degree in Educational Leadership.

With 17 years of experience in education, I began my teaching career as an English teacher in Puerto Rico. In 2013, My family and I  moved to Fort Worth, Texas, where I became a dual language teacher. My commitment to student success and instructional excellence led me to transition into school leadership, and I have proudly served as Assistant Principal at Meadowbrook Middle School for the past four years.

I has been married for 23 years and am the proud mother of two college-aged sons. My eldest, Christian, is studying Political Science at TCU with aspirations of becoming a lawyer, while my youngest, Julian, is attending Wayland Baptist University on a full basketball scholarship. Our family also includes their beloved dog, Vader, and cat, Alaska.

Outside of school, my family and I  enjoy spending time at the beach, listening to music, and cheering on Julian at basketball games.
